Skull: sufficiently broad and moderately domed. Stop clear, but not too deep. Muzzle: not too deep, lips not overhanging, well filled cheekbones, black nose.. Pattern: a blaze is preferred, coloured cheeks. Eyes: almond shaped, deep brown with a friendly alert expression. Ears: medium size, set on just above the line from the point of the nose to the corner of the eye; no white; hanging close to the cheeks. Long feathered black tips are preferred. Teeth: the standard bite is scissors, pincer bite admitted. Neck: straight and well muscled. |
| 3) Body. |
| Strong back, deep brisket with sufficient spring of ribs. Height at shoulder from about 35-40 cm (14-16 inch). |
| 4) Tail. |
| Carried on level with back or slightly above, not curved. Well-feathered with a white plume, the last vertebra reaching the hock. |
| 5) Legs and feet. |
| Forelegs: straight and not too heavily feathered. Hindquarters: breeches long feathered; no feathering below the hock, the tarsal joint sufficiently angulated. Feet: small, with toes close, covered with short hair. |
| 6) Coat. |
| Hair medium long, with a slight wave or straight, no curls, hair not too fine. Well developed undercoat. |
| 7) Movement. |
| Flowing and springy, not stepping. |
